Mature Tree Transplanting
Sometimes ornamental trees or larger shrubs can outgrow their original home and it’s a shame to have to remove them. Why not just move them to another location on your property that is more fitting? Timing is important. With evergreens, it’s best to not do this too close to winter because then their roots don’t have the opportunity to get established before the cold temperatures set in. For deciduous trees; however, late fall/early winter, once the trees have gone dormant, is the ideal time to move them.
